Thai AirAsia A320 near Bangkok on Jun 5th 2022, loss of cabin pressure



A Thai AirAsia Airbus A320-200, registration HS-BBE performing flight FD-3342 from Bangkok Don Muang to Nakhon Phanom (Thailand), was climbing through FL300 out of Bangkok when the crew received a "VENT SKIN VALVE FAULT" ECAM message and observed the cabin altitude climb from 8000 to 10250 feet, the cabin altitude warning activated. The crew initiated an emergency descent to FL150 and returned to Bangkok Don Muang for a safe landing about 55 minutes after departure.


Thailand's AIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
