Thomas Cook, Rejected Takeoff due to Engine Failure

A Thomas Cook Airbus A330-200, registration G-OMYT performing flight MT-2825 from Los Angeles,CA (USA) to Manchester,EN (UK), was accelerating for takeoff on Los Angeles' runway 25R when the crew rejected takeoff at very low speed (less than 20 knots) reporting the failure of the #1 engine (Trent 772, left hand) and requested emergency services to inspect the engine. The aircraft stopped on the runway about 180 meters/600 feet down the runway. The crew of the next departure already lining up the runway . . .
